At a bare minimum, we need to understand your goals or the problem you are hoping to solve so that we can develop the best possible solution for your needs.

Some clients come to us with a fully baked idea, others come to us with research in hand, and others come to us simply knowing that they have a need but not sure what the solution might be. We are a full-service agency so we can step into your project at any phase or propose myriad pieces of content to fulfill a single need or a suite of goals and objectives.

It takes a village to develop visual content that succeeds. Because of this, you will always have a dedicated team of visual communication experts including:

  • A project manager
  • A designer (or 2 or 3)
  • A content editor / researcher
  • An animator (if needed)
  • A developer (if needed)
  • Oversight from our Creative Director
  • Oversight from our Art Director

We like to compare working with us to joining us for a road trip. We will take on the roles of planner, DJ, driver, and navigator while you get to sit back and relax as we chauffeur you to your destination.

If you want to take some control, that’s perfectly fine. Our process is agile and can work with you so if you want to set the mood with your own mix tape we will rock out on the drive with you.

If you are speaking a different language, Plotal can target in a unique case the same level of your mother tongue.
Alongside official languages, like English, Turkish and Arabic, there are other languages too.

In short: NO.
We can handle everything starting from concept and down to research, design and promotion. If you want, you can provide your input or even the data that you want to be used. It is also useful if you can offer some ideas on what you want the end result to be, such as reference art work you like on the web to help us identify your purpose. We also appreciate your feedback for the mock-up we will create in the first stage.

Process Related Questions

Our process can be just as structured as you like it.

If you’re working on a hard deadline or very strict budget, we will recommend structured options and aggressive timelines to ensure you hit these goals.

If you aren’t sure how long it will take for those few key stakeholders to get back to you and you don’t need your project ready for a certain date, we will recommend flexible approaches that structure only to the extent of your specific needs.

We’ll determine the right approach to this together in our initial conversations with you.

Our process is in place because it works well for the majority of clients; its contingencies and flexibility vary based on your needs.

Once we learn more about your process, we can recommend the best way to work together to ensure mutual success; communication is key!

Of course! Sometimes we contract directly with PR or marketing agencies, while in other cases we may work direct with organizations but alongside their partners to ensure visual communication pieces are cohesive with larger brand strategies.

When we can partner with your other agencies, mutual alignment can drive even more success.

We can definitely advise you on the best ways to work together when multiple agencies are involved.

This depends on the type of project we are delivering, but a relaxed timeline is typically 3 to 4 weeks for static work and 6 to 8 weeks for animated or interactive projects.

We can definitely deliver work on a rushed or advanced timetable, but do this on a case-by-case basis to ensure your goals can still be met on a faster timetable.

Budget Related Questions

There’s a story for every budget, and we work to be as flexible as possible when gaining a thorough understanding of your goals, needs, and finances.

If we find a budget we aren’t able to work within, we’re happy to make recommendations for alternate resources that may be able to help.

Yes! We offer nonprofit and bulk discounts.

The majority of our clients are best served by project-based pricing, which ensures that you know the total you’ll pay for your project before work begins. We also communicate what any additional charges might be upfront, in the event that late-stage stakeholder feedback results in major changes near the end of your project.

That being said, some projects are best suited to an hourly format, such as when the primary goal is consulting and ideating instead of reaching a final product. We also understand that some clients prefer to be billed hourly for various reasons.

Just let us know your unique billing requirements and we can create a custom quote for you.
